Pilates is a system of exercises, which addresses all body parts and muscles. It’s about strengthening your muscles and gaining flexibility – especially in your spine, your hip and your back. In each class you get to know your body and its limits a little bit better. All exercises are built on the 6 Principles of the Pilates Method:
1) Concentration
2) Control
3) Centering
4) Flowing Movement
5) Breathing
6) Precision
These 6 Principles help you to create a connection between your body and your mind, which lead to a state of spirituality. A great thing about Pilates is that it`s really for everybody – this method does not exclude, for example, sex or age. In fact, Pilates is a great way for elderly people or people who are recuperating from an accident to build up strength and flexibility and come back to life.
In one class of Pilates you will experience your focused performance and how this makes you feel refreshed, energized and calm after your class. You’ll go with the flow!
In our Workshops during the Retreat, we’ll get deeper in Pilates Theory and will explore together what Pilates is and what it can do for you and your everyday-life.
